- 8MP (4MP + 4MP) · 2 lenses
- Power and video on one Ethernet cable
- Runs on the iCSee app
A metal 5MP bullet that takes power and video down one Ethernet cable, records 2880 × 1616 through a 108° lens, and opens in iCSee, a web browser or an ONVIF recorder.
The HIKJBSET 5MP is the wired answer to every Wi-Fi headache on the iCSee app. Power over Ethernet carries both electricity and video down a single network cable, so the camera needs no outlet at the mount and no wireless signal to lose.
At the house end of the cable, one of three things supplies the power:
A single Ethernet run can stretch to 100 metres under the standard. That puts a camera at the bottom of a long garden, on a barn or on a gate post within reach of a switch in the house, and where no PoE source exists, the bullet also takes 12V DC from a separate supply.
Use UV-resistant, outdoor-rated cable for any stretch exposed to sun, and fit the waterproof case from the box over the connector. On a PoE camera, the weak spot is usually the joint where the cable meets the camera's lead, not the camera itself.
A wired camera also sidesteps the problems that send Wi-Fi models offline: a crowded 2.4GHz band, a router moved to another room, a neighbour's new network on the same channel. Once the link works, it tends to stay working, which is what a camera guarding a garage at night needs.

HIKJBSET gives this camera three ways to be watched, and each covers its own share of the job. Most households start with the phone app, and many end up using all three.
| Route | How | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| iCSee app | Add the networked camera in the app | Alerts, live view and two-way talk on the phone |
| Web browser | Enter the camera's IP address on a PC on the same network | Settings and live view without an app |
| ONVIF NVR | Add it as an ONVIF camera | Round-the-clock recording, several cameras on one screen |
Browser access sets it apart from many iCSee cameras, which have no web interface at all. On a home PC you can change settings and watch live without installing anything, and the RTSP and PC guide covers browser and stream access in detail.
HIKJBSET adds that XMEye Pro may also work, depending on the device's configuration. Treat iCSee as the supported app and XMEye Pro as a possible extra.
Reserve the camera's address on the router once it is found. A recorder that looks for the camera at a fixed address keeps recording when the router restarts and reshuffles its addresses. For a lost password, the reset guide covers bullets as well as domes.
Night vision runs two ways. Infrared gives black-and-white footage with no visible light, white-light illumination gives colour, and HIKJBSET quotes up to 100ft of night vision in all.
The 2.8mm lens covers 108°, wide for a single fixed camera. From the corner of a garage it takes in the door, the drive in front and a good piece of the side path. The trade is reach: a wide lens makes distant faces small, so aim it where people come close rather than at the end of the street.
5MP at 2880 × 1616 is a clear step up from 1080p on the same scene, and 25 frames a second keeps movement smooth. H.265 encoding keeps the stream lean on the recorder's disk. The resolution guide compares 5MP with 1080p and 4K at typical distances.
Smart human detection triggers alerts in iCSee, and you can talk back through the camera's own speaker. The metal housing is rated IP67 and runs from -4°F to 140°F, so it copes with rain, dust, frost and summer sun on an exposed wall.
Mount it at 8 to 10 feet, angled slightly down, so the 108° view takes in faces as well as the ground in front of the door.
Walk the scene once after dark before fixing the bracket for good. Stand where a visitor would, check the phone, and nudge the angle until your face sits just above the centre of the frame rather than at its edge, where a wide lens stretches the picture most.
The HIKJBSET is a fixed camera: it watches one scene all the time and never turns away. Other PoE cameras on the iCSee app trade that simplicity for more lenses, more pixels or a moving head.
| Camera | Lens | Movement | Resolution |
|---|---|---|---|
| HIKJBSET 5MP | 2.8mm, 108° | Fixed | 5MP |
| 4K 8MP dual-lens PoE PTZ | Two lenses, 3.6mm | 360° pan | 8MP 4K |
| 4K PoE bullet | 2.8mm option | Fixed | 4MP, 5MP or 8MP builds |
The HIKJBSET fits when:
The dual-lens PoE PTZ suits a yard where the camera must follow someone, and it also accepts DC 12V. The 4K PoE bullet suits the same fixed job with more pixels and AI face detection, at the cost of a heavier stream.
Where no cable can reach at all, the outdoor camera guide covers solar and plug-in options. For several PoE cameras, a single PoE switch or NVR near the router powers them all, and adding a camera later means one more cable rather than one more outlet. Label each cable at the switch end on the day you run it.
A fixed bullet and a pan-tilt also share a wall well. The bullet holds the door without fail while the pan-tilt roams the yard, and both feed the same recorder.
It needs a PoE source: a switch, an injector or an NVR with PoE ports. It can also run on 12V DC.
No. It is wired only, over Ethernet.
Yes. Type its IP address into a browser on that LAN, or use the iCSee app or an ONVIF NVR.
